New to the lockpick world - What to buy

I've read through a couple of the latest "new to lockpicking and what to buy posts" but they are not on the topic of what I want to find out so I'll ask anyway. What do you guys recommend I invest in to get me started off with?

i recommend you invest some time in learning to use the search button and reading through all the FAQ's, stickies and everything like that to avoid a load of flaming.

anyway, you'll need some picks and get yourself a cheap lock from a scrap yard or something. you'll want a fairly small set in case you dont like it and a certain type depending on what country you're in.
