good locks are the ones that open , and bad ones are those that dont, im not being funny here, you can get a real high security lock that pops open in a few seconds, and then you can get the budget cylinder that just wont play, also you get the lock that will open on monday but tuesday no way.
most locks at some time will fight back, but as a rule start on budget locks with no anti picks, learn how the lock works , strip it down and rebuild it, first with 1 pin , then 2 pins then so on till you have all pins in and the lock opens, locks will become easier to pick once you understand the little beastie, there is no short cut, just practice, and a little advice on 101 and read and digest the mit guide.
