I am ready to invest in a lock pick set and have read the faq on frequently asked questions. I live in the U.S.A but I was wondering if those Euro picks would be a better choice. I wanted to pick a variety of locks like the deadbolts on doors and maybe some padlocks. A padlock has a small keyway so i figured the Euro picks would cover all the bases. But maybe the Euro locks wouldn't work well with locks with a large keyway...Any Suggestions? Thx

The only reasons not to buy slimlines are that they're a little bit more expensive, and just a little bit weaker, because they're thinner. They're much more worth it though. Even on locks with more open keyways, they won't hinder you at all.

Go with the slimlines.
