You could make the picks, sell them and then put all the money you make into an investment account. A standard..... say..... 5 to 6% interest rate will slowly build the account up to a point that you could afford to pay an attorney when you get busted for supplying B&E tools to minors.....

I'm glad it didn't work out for you, buying your own grinder and dremel is a much better idea.

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

I wouldn't distribute picks to middleschool kids. What if one of them breaks a pick in one of their locks? They'll blame you and you'll probably end up paying!
It's a good thing you decided against helping him make picks.

also, if one of them gets caught doing something they shouldn't.....

You'll get into a heap of thick and sticky * when the picks get traced to you.

it would be a good idea to keep picks out of school, it attracts unwanted attention
If you have a pick, why use the key?

Whats gonna be worse is when you sell picks to someone without explaining to them that its not "Oh look im James Bond and Ive got uber skillz, I can open any lock in seconds with these uber cool tools" Then they go try to pull something off, get caught, you get in trouble with the cops, and they come back and beat your head in for ripping them off.

**steps off soap box**
nothn a 9 cant fix.
