LOCK PICKS

Postby broken_lock » 5 Jul 2005 19:24

Hy everybody my question is this
Does anyone here knows where can i buy lock picks in Belgrade,Serbia and Montenegro (YUGOSLAVIA) because i didn't manage to find answer with google and with search button on this site so can anyone answer me because i don't know how to make it and i'm to afraid to order it over internet because the only way i can pay is via bank account meaning that when i send money to the firm then i can wait for tham to send me what i ordered and what if they don't send me that i would lost 31.95$ (thats the price of current items that i ordered from lockpick.com [thats the price with shipment without it its around 19$]), i mean technicly i didn't order it because i still didn't send money(trying to find alternative, cheaper alternative). So thank you all in advance.

Hi broken_lock.

You will not find many places that sell pick tools over the counter. The few places that do often charge way too much. There are several sites that are considered by members here as reliable. Check out this thread:

http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=1423

Most of us here have ordered our picks successfully through one or more of these sites and have not had problems. The bottom line though, is that you have to be willing to assume a little risk when ordering internationaly, as you may encounter problems with customs in your country.

Hope this helps.

Don't know too many people (smart people) that would let someone use their credit card, let alone their neighbour.... especially over the internet.... :?

I suppose its the close knit community that i live in but if i was to go round to any of my neibours with a pocket full of cash anyone of them would happily order anything on their card for me if i wanted (might try it and give all my cards a rest  ) we can call for chips from the takeaway on the way home only to drop the money in on another day, grocery shopping can be taken and paid for when next passing etc etc, wouldnt have it any other way, love trading skills as well ie bucher wants locks, i want meat, we do a deal.

*sigh* Now that's a place where I want to live. People are actually nice to each other and everyone knows everyone. Not like the concrete jungle I habitat. :?

Thanx for all the advices that you gave me.I'm glad that i have found a temporary solution i made my own pick and tension wrench out of material similar to credit card material and for tension i'm using a bented screwdriver.I managed to pick padlock with this set twice for a very short period of time(at least for me it wasn't a lot of time used [ it didn't took even a 15 min. to pick it first time and second time 10 min.]), but for you it's probably less than 5 sec.

Well now i can continue my lock picking and maybe some day i'll be able to buy a real set of lock picks. There is a chance that i'm going in USA in december (if i manage to get that amount of money because i have to pay for my university), but who knows a lot of things can happen till december.

Sorry thats gone over my head

Basically thats it, the biggest crimes are someone writing their name on a wall or someone drink driving, murders arent committed here but because its up in the hills the bodys from the citys seem to keep turning up in our lakes or woodlands!

As it said on the title to cheers, 'i want to be where everybody knows your name' saying that, it does get right on your tits now and again when you cant just walk down the road to a differant pub to get away from people,

 A bit crude but very commonly used here, the nice way is to say 'hes got my goat' but not as funny.
