Which is Standard?

I'm currently looking at some stainless steel hand picks. I see 2 hook picks and I'm not sure which will be better. A "long hook pick" or a "short hook pick." Can someone please help me in deciding which is more widely used and/or standard? Thank you.

Often times smaller hooks are better, IMO. But like anything, having the right tool for the job is helpfull. If budget is the issue, I would advise the smaller hook. If not, get both. What the heck... the more the merrier.

The small hook is my favourite pick. I hardly use anything else (other than various rakes). I made my hook very shallow though, I haven't seen a profesional pick with a hook that shallow (basically the end is curved slightly... that's it, no real hook per se). But yes, the right tool for the job and the more the merrier.

The long hook is easily modified to resemble a peterson gem. It's useless as is though.
