I am very curious to know what comes on the box and the bill when you order from a certain lock pick shop.
See I need to buy some tools, and send to India with my sister whos comming from New york. But I dont want her to know that I am asking her to bring lock pick Tools from America cause then she will just freak.
So is there a company which allows me to purchase the tools from India and send it to New york.
And most importantly is there a way I can tell the pick selling company to ship the product in such a way that my sister has no clue what it is.
I know this is a wierd question but I have no clue of how things are done there.
Does anyone have any ideas as to where I should purchase it and what I should tell them.
Help will be highly appreciated

Yeah, until she just puts the package in her purse and tried to board the plane. I'd say it's a pretty bad idea. If she's going to travel internationally with pick tools, she'd better darn well know that that's what she's got.

That is not a good idea. Sending your sister on a flight with lockpicks that she is not aware she has is just asking for trouble.

Look at www.lockpicks.com although I don't think they will ship to anything but a billing address.

hmm....at the risk of sounding dodgy I got through customs when I went off to Florida... (they were still on bomb alert, and checked us thoroughly- Either they have no problem or it was lucky) I actualy hadn't intended to take them with me, but I'd left my set of 5 southord picks in the pockets of a pair of jeans .
Although if she doesn't know what they are and gets searched she's gonna get really stressed out over it, and will deny even knowing what they are... the customs officers will have a laugh, cos I bet lamost everyone who tries to smuggle stuff through have all used that reply.
I'd reccomend telling her, and maybe she will be more understanding than you expect... barring that find a company that will fly you a set over to where you live.

I am licensed to carrier picks and shims but I do not think I my self would try to get on a plan with my picks with me. At this time with home land security, your sister could get in big time trouble.

Thanks for the heads up you guys, I guess the idea of sending the tools with my sis is a bad idea after all, but I really really would love to have some tools.
I would have asked some company to send it here but if a bill or paper work comes with the words saying Lockpicks, it would be hard to get it past customs
The only other way is if one of guys could buy some and send it to me as a gift, then the Indian customs guys wouldnt have a clue as to what it would be and send it right over to me, cause they dont pay that much attention to gifts, I swear I checed it up
So please , is there someone out there who will answer my prayer,
I would even pay you guys via paypal, some extra cash just as a thankyou
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone help me out here, you guys are my only hope.......PLEASE

i'm sorry.... but that post almost made me put on a CD of mournful music and cry...
actualy... why not make your own picks?
its very easy, doesn't take too long, is usualy quite fun, and may end up being cheaper. Hacksaw blades and a small set of files will do this for you.
o yeah.. and that nifty gude by Pyro in the FAQ section.

Ah, if only I could get my hands on a couple of good hacksaw blades.
But alas, I live in India where getting hands on good blades is just impossible cause no one really has a need for them here I guess. I even tried several large hardware stores but to no avail. They usually end up using the much thicker and bigger blades
And thats why I live in such a state of sorrow

I'm very suprised you are having difficulty getting hacksaw blades to be honest.... but you could order those over the internet, and they would get through customs with no trouble.

Yes, the cheaper ones seem to work better, you can snap one in to 3 pieces and make 3 picks with one hacksaw blade, if you not ordering for a jail cell anyone can ship you hacksaw blades.

Oh, let me tell you guys a little about the Indian customs people, they are quite stupid as a group, they arent as sophisticated as the west. Most of them are just a bunch of corrupt officials
Plus it would be so much easier to have the ready made stuff.
And also all the risks are with me, I dont think you guys would doing anything illegal, cause I spoke with the Southord guys and they were quite willing to ship out the stuff to me.
The only concern I have is that when a company send over stuff it comes with paper work which those customs officals would read and then wonder about
But if it is sent to me as a gift then these guys wont have a clue as to what the tools would be, plus the Indian goverment allows gifts to be sent to India bellow 100$ without duty.
Plus I would take up all the risks involved, you guys would not have to worry about it....... Please you guys, I've thought it through
