I like meaningless sigs which are at least 3 times larger than the appropriate text. :D

P.S. 25k isn't very modem friendly, your picture also links to imageshack.us (don't know you want this)

I'm working on a sig and would like to ask what are the proper dimensions and size for them?

I know there are many sizes other use but I would rather be safe than sorry.

It is stated in the rules that sigs must be 3 lines of text in height.

Yes, I know my sig actualy breaks this rule, but it *did* conform to the 4 lines of text rule *before* it was changed. :)

illusion,

Sorry, I should have been more specific on what I was speaking of. The graphical sig like the one you and the others have, not the text sigs.

Is there a certain size that I should stick with when making it with a paint shop program?

My sig is as follows:

84px high
334px wide

It can be as wide as you like, but please don't make it so wide that it stetches the page - it means I have to scroll allong, and if I do this I suffer from nasty illnesses.

The height of my sig is 4 lines of text, you can see yourself... The height it *should be* is 3 lines high - I don't know how many pixels this works out as.

I appreciate that info guys. ya know I wouldn't want to create a never ending sig syndrome. Illnesses such as those are very awkward to overcome and really just a pain in the arse.

All kidding aside, I just wanted a reference size so it wouldn't look to big or small, just something the right size to show detail and clarity.

Thank again.

i do 360x80 on all my sigs and the sigs im working on. mines about to change real fast here (my sig) so look for it, or alternatively, look for a new post in the general info/test thread, i usually post like a few sigs at a time there.

yeah, i took my sig size from illusion (his old one) and i think just rounded off the numbers to an even 360x80 and it seems to work well, granted there is no text additions by the user under the sig, its good i think.

What good is a signature for anyway?
Most of them make absolutely no sense to me. :D
Is it just avatar replacement? So why not allow avatars then to stop oversized sigs?

I was feeling a bit of sig envy today so I threw some stuff together in Illustrator. It seems to have come out alright.
