Is eBay reliable?

If you've ever bought anything from eBay please respond.
I can get a descent pick set for 0.01$ and 5.99$ shipping fee.
the seller has a 100% poistive rating and basically everything she has sold has been for the same price.
(There is a photo of the set too)
Do I NEED a credit card (i've only got a debit card) for paypal
and
can i trust people on eBay???

Can you post a link? Picks are not allowed on ebay and the price is to low to be believed. Be careful on this one.

Check out the paypal site paypal.com, yes you can use a debit card I do.

As for feedback check how much they have, I mean how many people make up this 100% if it is 100s you should be o.k.

P.s I never personally had a problem with buyers on eBay

it does sound odd that almost ALL her prices are 0.01$.
a name with "stripper" sounds dodgy to me too... she is selling hacking guides a pick set and porn
although she has had 14 ratings all saying 100% reliable.

i asked someone else about that, they say it means she is letting her items for bidding and hasnt set a minimum price.
(which means if i wait to just-before tyhe end of the bid, i should get them quite cheap.) any other opinions?

Yes, I was frustrated by this as well. As far as I remember it doesn't cost anything, I was never charged when I upgraded to a paypal premier account.

I've ran into several people with questionable accounts; ie. having 100% feedback from several $0.01 auctions. I don't deal with them. Also, certain types of items draw lots of fraud. While I was in the market for Sony's VX-2000 video camera I noticed that about once a week someone posts a fraudulant auction for one. Tell tale signs are prices that are clearly too low and verbage requiring immediate payment after the auction. Ebay does have a feature now that requires you to pay immediately, however it's an Ebay automated process. If the auction doesn't make you pay before it allows you to bid then it's not subject to those rules and they are most likely trying to take you. You can help by notifying Ebay that you suspect this auction is fraudulent.

It is free to open an paypal account and free to send money via paypal, the person getting the money has to pay a small fee of about 2%.

Also try emailing paypal a have found them helpfull in the past with questions

There was some try out keys on Ebay thursday but as the above have said ebay dont like it..Also ebay as taken them try out key off now.

this seems good, her 'reviews' (from buyers as well as sellers) all say she paid quickly, they got their stuff etc.

but if its against eBay regulations im not sure its a good idea.
The sets from this sites sponsers are still expensive (when you're paying in a currency thats 7 times weaker than the dollar!)

Well, as no-one has looked at the ebay item in question, I suggest no-one tries to talk the OP into getting a paypal account and buying it.

It is a CD of ripped-off picking info, for $0.01 plus $6.99 postage, and uses a picture of the easy pickings booklet plus a small southord pickset as an illustration (and states near the bottom that the picture has nothing to do with the offer).

The guy doing the ripoff has called himself 'stripperbabe', for some reason.
