wtf did i do!!! alls it is is my name. the reason i chose this name is that i just read the book so it was on my mind and lockpicking is USUALLY grouped with theives and breaking into places. im not accusing anyone of anything. ITS JUST MY NAME. get of my case will ya?

Go to www.lockpicktools.com Get their cheapest set. It will have all you need as a beginner and it's great quality.

Associating lockpicking with theft is the kind of image we are trying to dispell here in the locksport community. Most of the public who have no knowledge of lockpicking will automatically relate the two but that is because of pure ignorance and lack of understanding.

There are three reasons why you would want to learn how to pick locks.

1. You are a professional locksmith or government employee who need such tools and skills for your work.

2. You are a hobbyist who does this for pure fun and for no immoral gain.

3. You're a criminal.

I think most everyone here is trying hard to make the first two reasons paramount over the third.

UWSDWF is abrasive like that, it's what he does, but Eyes Only is exactly right. How about this: the name is misspelled, so you'll want to change it so you don't look ignorant. Since you want to change it anyway, how about making it something that doesn't reinforce the prejudice that we're up to no good?
