senior prank

Postby worldchamp » 9 Mar 2008 13:33

I am a newbie to lockpicking. I am a senior in high school and I want to pull off a prank. I want to put chickens in the school. I will write 1,2,3,4,6 on the chicken and they will think that their is a #5 and they will keep looking. The problem is that I don't know how to lockpick. Is it hard to lockpick the locks on the school door. Is a lockpick gun useful?

Please tell us you're just putting us on and trolling the board, because you can't seriously think we'd actually help you with this.

It's ok MBI, we just trace routed his originating IP address and I called the law enforecement agency in his area. They said there's no one in the office today that can go out and stop by his residence, but Monday afternoon someone will be visiting to have a friendly chat with him and or his parents/guardians.

Its amazing how quickly they got the customer account and address info; he did it while I was still on the phone with their office.

I remember hearing something about a senior prank on the news where they did the exact same thing and the pranksters got locked up for a while for animal cruelty. Its your last year so have fun but don't screw it up.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

In all seriousness, I've heard that too.

This is a very old and common prank. Think of something more innovative and something less criminal.

My high school was about 3 blocks from a field that the University had cows pastured. One of the seniors walked the cow from the field and put it in the pricipal's office. I won't mention some of the other pranks but the biggest one shutdown the high school for 3 days and some locksmith sold/installed over 150 high security locks.

The biggest prank in the history of my school, was the fact that they let me graduate.

I find that more disturbing than the "prank" !
I also find it somewhat hard to believe, normally a court order or some extremely pressing matter would be required to get the address associated with an IP address.
It's depressing to think that someone can make a phone call and have the cops sent around on what is nothing more than "hearsay" evidence.

Already the trial has concluded, and the deed has not been done yet!!
I do not in anyway condone this idiots potential actions, and with luck, he will end up with a chicken up his behind !!!

But this is a way over the top reaction to a nothing event.

ok ok, the jig is up. I'm not a mod so there's no way I could have possibly found this guys home IP address. It's amazing at the people who were more up in arms over me razzling this guy versus people razzling him for asking to break into a public building.

so relax everyone, there won't be anyone visiting him, wherever he may be.

Yeah it's actually supposed to be difficult. I run a local paintball forum and once had a guy leave his suicide note on the forums. I had his IP and called his ISP to get his name and even though he was going to kill himself they wouldn't do anything until I had put together enough information to guess what his real name might be.

At that point, and only that point, did they contact the police in his area to pay him a visit, and some officers visited me as well to make sure I wasn't loony.

The guy didn't die, at least not that day. Normally I would write it off as a prank, but as the forum admin I didn't want to be held responsible in any way if something did happen.
