'How do they get the brass around a keyway?'

In fact, I thought I asked that question, must have been my bad English and I was misunderstood. You know - "casting".

Anyway, I believe the story of rivets that hold the keyway (which is, as I now know, probably made of anti-brass - as in 'anti-matter' :D ),
I've seen that in KESO locks, those rivets are long and thin and should exorcize any screws someone could try to insert into the keyway. Wow. Those are advanced locks. And the keyway production process is probably much easier. Because it's nearly rectangular, not because of the rivets.

So - sorry for bothering some of you with stupid questions, and thanks a lot to the others for giving some good answers.

No you asked quite clearly how do you get a keyway in to the plug, my last post was a joke you dont start with a hole and make the surrounding material you start with the material and make the hole, the rivets post was also a joke.

On here when a question has been answered fully a few of us like to have a play around and either make fun of each other or just say silly things for fun, it makes for a lighthearted site and we all enjoy it, we consider your question well and truly answered so had started the fun.

Read my earlier posts on how a keyway is made.

Ps, in weight how much soil is in a hole that is 24 meters heigh, 10 meters wide and 5 meters long?
The soil weighs roughly 1/2 ton per meter square

I thought that the hole was empty, just like my keyways...
Or was this a joke for mathematicians, as in "square" vs. "cubic"

On a serious note, a good place to get holes of various sizes, including keyway shapes, is at your local....................wholesaler!
