Have you tried picking the second pin first? i know its simple but i didnt just see it covered, they dont pick in order.

If its a problem then yes it can be pulled apart again, have a lok at illusions repinning guide, you need to pick both pins or lift them with a key blank and shim it.

Other than that there are other ways but a pic of the lock would be best first.

Without knowing exactly what has happened it's hard to say what to do.

If you are hearing a pin when you turn it upside down then it sounds like there's no spring. Even without the spring the key should open the lock provided its not upside down and the pins are in the correct order.

In my case the spring was jamming the plug. I just forced it until the spring broke.

Even if you put these pins back in the correct order there's still a possibility that you could have switched a top and bottom pin.

It sounds like you best bet would be to shim it with a key blank as suggested. This can be done even if the pins are in the wrong order or top and bottom pins are switched, provided you don't have a spring jammed.

If youve missed a pin of spring wheres the extra one come from when you said you counted 3 of everything before?

If thats the case put the lock so gravity is pulling the pins down, pick the working pin and then put heavy tension on, move the other pin until it sets which it should do realativly easily.

If you have mised the top pi out you will need to push the bottom pin up past the shear line with a deep hook, if its a long bottom pin your going to have to just force the plug on the spring so the spring gets damaged.

If youve missed the bottom pin out you again push the toip pin up past the shearline until the plug moves.

Show us a pic of the lock for further advice, it may be possable that you can remove the covering plate the pins are held in with.

Eitherway you have a problem that isnt easy to describe a solution to over the internet if you are new to the hobby.

Use a junior hacksaw blade with the teeth intact,

Press the teeth onto the brass plate that is on the top of the pin chabers and try to slide it off towards the back of the lock,

Do this in a bag so you dont loose any bits, that should let you remove the pins and spring/s then start again.

It should be just pressed in not soldered or anything, you may destroy it if not carefull but as its a pracise lock you will be able to fix it so it works again quite adequately.
