Yeah Shrub, it was a 265 mate. :)

Why are comb picks advanced? They have been in the public domain since they were patented in the 1930s.

They are bypass, this is deemed advanced, hence they are only for advanced forum discussion.

There was a thread about them in the public forum, perhaps a month back, that discussed them. The thread was moved into the advanced forum shortly after.

Yup, you did.

That's not a bad thing since this thread has now been bumped and will perhaps help some people curious about Tricircle without needing to do a lengthy search.

I've done the same thing before, and I have to say well done for reading the old threads. :)

Lets keep comb pick discussion in the advanced section for the reasons already stated.

Do not speak forbidden knowledge!

I think I have a tri-circle rip off, it's like the one in the disassembly guide with the holes for the pins on the side but it doesn't say tri-circle on it.

You saw the photos of those security pins, that means lightnen up, and if necessary make a comb pick if need to open a lot of them, comb picks are only for flawed locks, they don't work on real security. They are simple and to produce one, you need some basic skill which is beyond the average gonif. Also, like bump keys, there is a need to fit each comb to the spacing of each lock. while it may seem simple when you have a comb or bump that fits the keyway, it certainly is not universal until you have all varients and no one but a locksmith would even want that. Comb picks require no skill at all, and only work on seriously flawed locks that should be taken off the market.

so true, exept if theres high/low combination in last pins.
I had that in the 2nd. biggest tricircle, and could not get any tool to set the last pin. allmost 2,5mm difference in pindepths at 22mm deep into lock. I had to make an extra large half-diamond to get there, sadly it broke today, so this tricircle is unpickable again.. :(
