I wouldn't think so, because the: Short Hook Pick

http://www/lockpickshop.com/p-sp-09.html

has the same handle as the slim lines and is not a slim line pick.

I think it is just a different design in general.

I'm flying in a week, and planning to bring my picks with me (so i can practice).

Should I?

I thought about VHS, removing all what is inside and putting my pick in the VHS case... so it'll look like a vhs if they check me.

Any other ideas?

Fill out your profile so we know where you are,

Don not hide anything, you hiding somthing allows suspicion, xray machines see through vhs tapes anyway,

If your going for a while post them to yourself or simply put them in your suitcase,

Hiding things is asking for trouble,

Make sure the place you are flying to allows lockpicks and if not do not take them at all,

Call and prearrange with the airport to there rules, they might ask you to put the tools in the lower storage area, even if they say no, its always professional to ask, if you need them with you, depending on where you live you might be able to aquire a permit or such to present that might better your odds, its a tough call good luck buddy, but as shrub said hiding is the worst.

I mean you could aways bring a model car and put them in there with some paint brushs and paints NO HOBBY KNIVES!! :D that might work as well, but i'd says ome sort of permit to carry or posses and inquiring before hand fully explaining them would be best.

Oh i also head of people mailing them to were they were going to avoid taking them on the plane all together, i think some people do this for defcon. Just some ideas.
