sorry if I came off as "shady" or whatever, its just that thats the only lock i have.. used it for locker at school and now have no use for it.

and even though i just registered, ive been lurking for 2 weeks or so.

i didnt mention anything about needing this done in a short amount of time, there isn't a time frame i need to learn to have it done in, im just challenging myself becuase if you set goals you have something to reach for.

oh, and im ordering picks and practice locks online so if I had been asking so i could "break into my neighbors house when they are on vacation", im shit outa luck unless their vacationing half way around the world. (i think it takes long to deliver)

anyways, i should have a deadbolt 5-pin tumbler and picks soon-ish so il keep yall updated on how I'm doing. :o

Ohh illusion, you just jelous becuase i only used four tubes our you

I understand bud, when buying a set go for the SO 17 piece set? its the one with metal handles, there comfortable when your starting, or peterson rubber grips are great as well, you will have to buy tension wrenchs,, or make them jsut go to wal mart buy a windshield wiper and make them out of that.. look for the ones with the big inserts ge the 24 inch blade one is good for as many picks and tension wrenchs you need

I'm currently on record for having picked one in "test conditions" in 1.6 seconds (cough cough.. brag brag...), so even for a novice, it shouldn't be too hard.

as a vigin picker db, you should be lookin over your shoulder, 9 seconds today been practicing loads on that lock, should really grow up and try something a little harder, maybe and abloy or something........

Bring it. 8)

Seriously though, in this case, all the test conditions consisted of was that you had to successfully pick the lock in less than 7 minutes 2 out of 3 times. On a Master No 3, that in and of itself is no problem. But the point is that you don't get to pick the lock 18 times and brag about your best time. You can pick it twice (well, thrice if necessary...) and report your best time.

Also, things get a little different when you're ACTUALLY taking a test and you know that your times will be posted for the world to see. Added pressure makes a different.
