The idea seems a sound one to me, ive seen and heard of decoding keys but havent quite got a grasp of the concept but this idea seems a good one,
I actually really like the idea now ive thought a few seconds about it, let us know how you get on with it, i will have a go myself,
I think with steel blanks and brass pins wear isnt going to be a big issue,
