I saw it a while ago when I was drooling over pick sets, and wondered whether it was an actual bogota or not. If it is a rip off, can they do that, or does raimundo own the design in some way?

A) its just this one Imagebut with one more segment on this side (kinda does look like a bogota, but i don't think the spacing is wide enough)

And B) no, rai doesn't have a patent on the bogotas.

I don't believe this is modeled after the bogotas, because I think you are supposed to use the other end (bottom) however, i am not sure (thats how i use it)
It's ok guys, i have a really bad attention sp-wow look, a beach!

this is the one he was talknig about

and it does look ALOT like the bogota, but i agree the spacing is most likely not the same, so the "black magic" effect might not be there.

I have seen such picks in the last few years, SO may not be the only ones making them. I do believe that the dimensions and finish are different and of course the popsicle handle just does not facilitate the type of picking that works as the short near handleless bogota does. Undoubtedly they tried some of my picks an then just winged it on this design. if anyone out there has this pick and a bogota that is properly finished, they could tell you if that is the case.
