I understand you have found the answer to your question.. BUT... there is a new master lock keyway that has some zigzag to it.. its a 5 pin. mainly for bike locks...however it is a master locka nd it does have a zigzag keyway.. I dont have a picture of the lock...however i do have a picture of one of the new key.. look at the warding.. you can tell the keyway is zigzag...

The flash is definately the most overused setting on a camera...Thats an interesting key, how thin is it with wardings on both sides?

Looks sort of similar to the wardings on a medeco of mine, only the wardings seem to be far deeper into the key.

Do keys with warding such as this get broken more frequently?

That profile has been used for many years overseas. They have just changed the heads.

Taiwan Import Company have used that profile in their XPT padlock range for a long time.

Baton products started using that profile too many years ago.

There is nothing new about this profile. Yes, it might look like a zigzag, but it is not.

The interesting thing about the XPT padlocks is they use mushroom drivers in each chamber (spools), making it a very difficult padlock to pick, despite the added difficulty of getting a pick into the intricate keyway.

Master arent doing anything new here. Just disguising an old product and dressing it up in "new" packaging.

I dont see how you can say this is NOT a zigzag keyway.. you seen the picture of the key.. need a picture of the lock... ?

You may be right {I am Not sure} thats this is not a new keyway to other lock companys..however master lock has not used this keyway in the usa until this specific lock was released.

I agree 100% the warding looks like warding from a medeco.. thats waht cought my eyes when I was checking it out.
the keys seems stronge enough not to break off.

This may not be a new keyway.. but its surely new to master locks in the USA. ...and..I WOULD call this a zigzag keyway..
