Maybe i cant do light tension because i have a shaking problem because i havnt got enough vitamin d in me apparantly..

Maybe it makes me shake and makes me press harder ?

I have a 140 with a long shackle too. I have had it for quite some time and I have long since picked it. I am not entire certain why this works for mine, but I basically put in the tension wrench, apply a little tension, put in my short hook and lift until I feel the second or third pin in set. I don't remember which it is since I haven't picked it in a while. Then I let off the tension slightly and as soon as I feel and hear the pin stack drop, I increase tension every so slightly and the plug begins to turn. I also noticed that out of all of my padlocks that I have and have opened, the 140's plug turns the most. It seems like the plug turns almost 90 degrees before popping the shackle.

Basically, yeah. I don't get it either, but it works for this one. I remembered picking it and not knowing what was going on, but being able to pop it pretty easily. I was flat out AMAZED to read on here that this lock has security pins when I found it so easy to pop. When I first stuck my pick in to try to see what was going on, it popped VERY quickly and I thought nothing much of it. I'm not sure why this is. Maybe I got a defective lock or something.
