Just a few things. This hobby requires patients. I would suggest you spend the next few weeks reading the MIT guide, watching videos and browsing the forum and do not pick until you have enough change to buy a practice lock. You will learn alot more doing this and by the time you have saved enough for practice locks you will be ready to practice with piece of mind. Remember perfect practice makes perfect, fumbling around in a lock is not really practice.
You should really tell your parents if you are starting this hobby else when they find out you will be blamed for all sorts of things.
Nothing will stop your picking quicker than getting caught by your parents at the front door, or worst the neighbours seeing you. Or worst you breaking the front door lock.
Congrats on your first pick and happy picking.
