I didn't find a topic for this years Dutch Open, but I'll just hijack this
Finally reserved flights and bus tickets I'm flying on 8th to Bremen, Germany and taking a bus to Groningen, Netherlands and on 9th I'm probably heading to Essen security show with Jord I'm taking flight back to Finland on 13th, very early morning.
Who else is coming this year and are you coming to the Essen show?

I fly Ryanair from Tampere to Bremen (Germany), it is 98 EUR (return) and taking bus from Bremen to Groningen (Netherlands) is 30 EUR (return) and from there is 45min trip to Sneek with the help of Jord
So a total of 130 EUR and a way to drive ~80km and you are there
With Finnair the travel would be from Helsinki to Amsterdam and back and would cost about 300 at least And then there would be the need for a ride from the airport to Sneek (120km?).

wtf, I made a search and it worked. Must be the LHC.
Anyway, it looks like I'm going to arrive to Schiphol airport late'ish on thursday. I am wondering if anyone is going to Sneek from Amsterdam or Schiphol at 20pm+ that I could hook up with.
I'm thinking of maybe taking a train if I can make it, but that'd mean two switches.

Do you have a flight booked yet? I'm thinking of taking the one where I'd arrive at 19:50 and enabling me to get to the last train that'd get to Sneek, leaving at 20:50.

Well, I've decided to break radio silence on this. I definitely want to attend this year - it would be my first SNEEK. However, I've hit a potential snag on my passport (which is Ozzie). I'm currently applying for a visa (I live in the UK) and the Home Office has my passport. Unfortunately you need a passport to travel from the UK to the rest of the EU, so if I don't get it back in time, it's bye bye SNEEK.
OTOH, I have booked my flights just _in_case_ I do get to go. I'm looking at arriving on the Thursday night in Amsterdam at 20:10. I guess it'd be a car from there. Anyone else coming in at that time?
