Are you just doing this for fun, or are you trying to get it open? If its an F line schlage, (which it probably is) you can pop the retaining clip in either direction. Pick it and then pop the retainer, pull of the knob, and rotate with a flat bladed screw driver. If you're just picking this for fun though, this won't help you too much.

Um, if it breaks in a locked position and you don't have a key for it, isn't that going to cause some real problems for you? Seriously man, a new Kwikset deadbolt can't be more than $10-15 dollars at your local hardware store, and you can screw around with the pinning on it afterwards because it's not in your door. I get that that lock itself might not be "in use", but it sounds like it's on a door that certainly is in use, and messing around with it could end up creating a problem for you if the lock gets messed up.

Half the tools in my pocket case are dual function. You can have the best set of picks in the world, but if you don't have a wrench that can apply appropriate tension, then you might as well have a rock in your pocket.

As for the plug spinner:

It's DIY and works great. A good loop wrench will work great in a KIK lock with no need for a seperate spinner tool. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try one.
