oh and I still can't pick it.. even with 3 pins and being able to see everything... but thanks for all the help everyone!

You may have actually made it harder to pick but cutting the slots as the springs may catch on them.
If you havent picked any locks before go and get yourself a wren bird then an era as they are a bit easier than a yale.
Also did you try with just 1 pin before trying 2 ?
