I have spoken to a couple of friends with business's (not locksmithing) and they too have found this month slow (down london way that is) so wondered if it was the same in other parts of the country.
Looking forward to xmas and the thieving so and so's creating work though.

Now heres a question how much more do you put up your prices for xmas and boxing day ? Im more than happy to take the calls but wasnt sure what is acceptable.

Look through your yellow pages, thompson local etc and look at the advert addresses, if the head office address are nowhere near you give them a ring.

work always slow this time of year, time to catch up on zzzzz etc, i only charge extra on xmas day, boxing day and new years eve and day, and then not a great difference to normal, phone hardly rings on these days if at all.
the run up with can be good to xmas, but dont bank on it, generaly picks up again at the end of january.

Ok so your charges are the same this year, 50p to free for oap's and a whopping £10.00 for anybody else including the first 3 hrs. bit like mine really ive been out christmas day to oap to repair a lock, they offer VODKA mince pies cake u name it and u say ohhh just give me a drink and they reply no problem have another vodka, you walk away thinking why the hell didnt i just give a price before i went.

I think you were fortunate to start subbing at all Cred judging by my success!

Over the past 4 weeks I have called AE 5 times and Safehouse 3 times and I am still waiting for packs to be sent. Reactfast have been a bit better but I've heard today there's a snag with the credit check as it's showing I've lived at my house for less time than I have...

Do I have to crawl and beg to these companies to be fortunate enough to work for them and earn a small percentage of the bill?
