The rule here is deal with a reputable locksmith supplier.

One would have thought with Lockpickshop.com being a sponsor here and recommended by others on the forum it would be reputable, and they wouldnt treat customers like crap.. which unfortunately is STILL happening to me.

Still no response from their customer services.. so for those keeping count that is:

5 unreplied to emails to customer services
1 unreplied to live message contact
2 unreplied to facebook page posts
1 unreplied to facebook message

The only email that solicited a response was the one i sent to the business owner from their WHOIS lookup.. which it seems i'm going to have to do again...
Seriously how bloody shoddy are this company?

I don't know anything about lockpickshop.com .. I have never done business with them , nor have I been to their website.

I know they have been around for several years ( in internet terms is basicly forever.)
I would suggest you use a trick my Mom taught me. Call the company phone number tell them you want to order products ( ie spend money). When you get a live person get their name and position, let them know your problem. If the problem isn't resolved in a day or so call back.. do so EVERY day until the problem is resolved.

Unfortunately that becomes a problem when you are an international customer (i am in the UK) with only a cellphone and no land line.. calling international gets expensive quickly.

Email number 7 has been fired off (if you included the WHOIS email) to the WHOIS email address, hopefully i get a response to this one (The contact form as far as i know hasn't been having issues... they are just really poor for customer service.. but i will give them the benefit of the doubt and try to be nice, because now i'm pretty pissed that after over a month of jerking me around they couldn't even put the right 4 picks into an envelope.)

Hello,

My order: 134763 has arrived in the UK. The contact form on your website appears to still be having issues as i haven't had a response from the attempts i have made to contact you since the order arrived at the end of last week.

The picks that have been packaged are unfortunately incorrect; The tension wrenches are fine but instead of:

Slimline picks
#4
#9
#12
#14

i appear to have received (from looking at the pictures on your website):

Slimline picks
#1
#9
#14
#14

2 of the same pick and another rake instead of the diamond.

A picture of my order receipt from you alongside the picks received in the order can be found here (and also attached) showing what i have received is clearly not what I ordered:

http://s1327.photobucket.com/user/Sdewe ... dfe215.jpg html

Could you rectify this situation by sending out the 2 missing picks from the order? (#4 and #12 slimline) please.

Kind regards

xxxxxxx xxxxxxx

By reputable, I meant a brick and mortar locksmith supplier, such as US Lock, Clark Security, IDN, Locks, Southern, Security Lock, Akron Hardware, H. L. Flake etc.

Reputable was perhaps the wrong choice of words as I know an Internet business can also be reputable. It is just a real store tends to be more reputable or at least easy to get hold of.

I had a similar experience a couple of years ago. Order never arrived, sent emails - no response. I finally called and left a couple of voice mails - no response.

My package finally arrived but the items were not what I ordered. I never bothered to follow up - I guess being ignored in my first round of attempted contacts made it not worth my time to pursue it further.

Others have posted similar stories over the years.

Why didn't you order from one of the several UK suppliers that are well known in locksport circles?

It was cheaper to order from america even with delivery.
Although it shouldn't really matter what country I am in for the order as the problems are nothing to do with being an international customer.

But as an update, I have had a response saying the 'warehouse team' will be sorting out the issue.

My point was that one normally orders close to ones house if the same item is available locally in ones city, state, or country. You get pig snacks at the corner store by your house right?, you don't drive across the country side to the corner store 100 km away right? (I know I know, a stupid example) Just a lesson learned I suppose, perhaps it would be better to buy locally next time, I'm surprised that ukbumpkeys or whatever place you found in the UK charges more for product and shipping than at lockpickshop. Or I could use cliches like "you get what you pay for"

anyways......

Its a funny one really.. places in the UK don't really sell individual picks only sets.. and by the time you factor postage in, the cheapest sets i was looking at were coming to the equivalent of $15-$20 higher than ordering the single picks and shipping from LPS!

Not to nit pick but yeah the problems are to do with being an international customer.. remember, their webpage didn't properly safe the country part of the address you typed in, so they didn't send out your order. If your address had been Anytown, USA it would have shipped.

just making an observation...

I've got to say, from everything I've read to this point I would never order from them. Yes, even though they're a site sponsor and I'm a moderator.

EDIT: not only that, but it is making lp101 look bad to even be associated with them. That's my personal opinion, not as a site spokesman or anything.

If they make it right, PLEASE make sure to follow up and let everyone know. Otherwise perceptions like mine are going to persist.
