However, I've hit a potential snag on my passport (which is Ozzie). I'm currently applying for a visa (I live in the UK) and the Home Office has my passport. Unfortunately you need a passport to travel from the UK to the rest of the EU, so if I don't get it back in time, it's bye bye SNEEK.

I'm sure you would have loved Peter Field's presentation on high security locks, even though he might become a competitor in the book market one day...

mh, I am really disappointed too
The Home Office in the UK is a law unto itself - their 4 week waiting time for visa issuing turned, without warning, into a 14 week delay. Since the type of application I had cost £750 (yes, that's right ), I did not want to cancel it and lose my money. They really are a pack of b..stards.

I am sure that SNEEK was fun and there would have been plenty to see and many interesting people there. In terms of Peter Field, I have been lucky. There was a meeting in London a few weeks before SNEEK that I went to and Peter was there. He did a private showing of some of his presentation material, which I attended. As for competition, I believe there is more to be gained from collaboration
