Hahahaha...
How funny is that. Good job you weren't the suspect, though.
As for being glad you didn't go to that school, you wouldn't believe what went on at mine! Guns, knives, explosives, beatings, kidnappings, etc. were all handled quietly by the posh-but-mid-range public school (Public school means private school, as in, your folks pay!) since they were all internal events. Actually, no-one ever got into trouble for bringing in a gun. What with the cadets having dozens of them, and everyone knowing at least a bit about them, it wasn't ever a problem. Drugs, knives, bullying/beatings and petty theft were, though.
We even had a minor riot where the school top year faced off against the local chav school, with hockey sticks, knives and bats, over an incident with one of the girls from our school getting trouble. The standard cross country run was down an alley past them, so it caused some "issues"...
One year there were water fights galore, fire extinguishers being used, buckets of water indoors, all sorts. It got so bad that the school couldn't control it. To 'crush' the problem, they actually had to *sanction* it and have official water fights!
