Sorry, even though these locks are not exactly "high-security", they are often found on vending machines, so picking information is not available in the public forums.
To bad db's ninja mod-skillz didn't find this thread first....

Gee, that's a coke machine lock, isn't it? Gee whiz....
It's like any other tube lock, except it's hard to pick and the bic expliot doesn't work too well.
Keep us posted if you figure out how to pick it. Some may consider that a high security lock, and this thread may be locked, just to forewarn you.

Hehehe.. actually, db's ninja skillz had it 30 seconds after the original post but I opted to leave it to see the responses. Rest assured, I was on it like a fat kid on a smarty. (No offense to the fat kids. )

Strangely enough i am not trying to get information to pick this lock. I am just trying to find diagrams (I have extensively searched the patent office), or just find out how this lock works exactly.(i have tried to take the lock apart but cannot figure out how) i do understand the concept but if i knew the lock inside and out i would be able to exploit it, so i can develop my own pick.

So you are trying to pick it?
It works exactly like a tubular lock.

Classic!
webidiot2, no one here is saying that your intentions are inappropriate. Nobody here knows you, so that would be hard to determine. But, surely you can understand the potential risk that is presented by having information on a public forum aiding in the defeat of a lock that is commonly used to protect vending machines.
Cheers!

Does that sentence make sense? Isn't supposed to be "Lol, you and me both, n2oah?". Heh, that doesn't make sense either

I meant... we're thinking alike. We both did the same thing by quoting the beginning and end of his post. Too subtle?

So what exactly is the definition of a lock that is high security and cannot be discussed in these forums. I see topics all the time on Medeco Biaxials; but tubular locks are forbidden? I recently saw a topic on locks used in jails, those have to be considered high security. Whats OK and whats not?

There isn't an exact definiton of high security, but I would consider high security lock and lock used in an application that requires a lot of security, such as vending machines. You will notice that there isn't detailed picking instructions on picking Medecos in the open forums, nor is there in the jail locks thread. It is okay to talk about these locks in the open forums, but not discuss picking them.
