Any South Paw LockSmiths Here? Just curious because I'm a lefty and all my co-workers are right handed.

Many early ballparks were designed geographically so home plate was facing east - thus a setting sun would rest behind the batter and not shine in his eyes. This meant that a pitcher faced west. A pitcher who threw left-handed would have his arm on the south of the pitching mound. Baseball fans soon called these lefties "southpaws." Why we don't call righties "northpaws" is anyone's guess!

I sure that is defiantly where it came from. If you google "term southpaw" it comes up with thousands of hits saying that is what it is.

I am a South Paw Locksmith when the customers screen door is left handed and the entry door I am trying to pick is right handed. I hate that !!!!!!
