peterson pick handles

Postby devnill » 8 Feb 2006 2:41

I am about to purchase a set of petersons "just picks", and noticed that the rubber handles are 5$ cheaper than the plastic. This confuses me because as single picks, rubber is more expensive. I've read that rubber gives less feedback than plastic. Is this true? I couldnt find very much on the difference between the two types besides a simple, "one is better than the other" responce, so any additonal info would me much appreciated

Thanks!

The plastic "Just Picks - Plastic" have 9 picks, and "Just Picks - Rubber" have 7. Which is better is up for debate, it probably has a lot more to do with personal preference than with the acoustic properties of the handles.

i noticed that in the picture, however the discriptions say they both have 7, as do the product numbers. I assumed the picture was just showed how they look. frankly, I am happy with just a hook 9 times out of 10, but i want to try some of the others that are bundeled with the set.

That could be true, but I was wondering the same thing about pricing the other day, so I just assumed the pictures must tell the story. Otherwise, I can't figure out why the backwards price difference, they do both say 7 in the description.

In my opinion the two best picks are the hook at the reach pick. Not much you can do with the other picks in those sets that you can't do with those two picks alone.
