This is indeed an I-core lock, just not the SFIC that you might be used to. Im a bit curious on how you were able to get the cylinder to the position you did in the second picture.

well i would love to say that i picked it like that but i ain't that good yet. The lock actually has no pins at all so that is why i thought that it would come out but nope. How would i be able to get the cylinder out if it has no pins ?

I don't know how medeco IC's work, or even if you have a medeco cylinder installed in that lock body. Try rotating the plug to the neutral position, then feel in the back of the cylinder for a 7th or 8th pin.

possibly rap it on the side of the body, might drop the core holder...
did you know some original SARGENT IC cylinders turn the opposite way to get the plug out (counterclockwise)? weird huh?

looking down the shakle hole there is a silver 'pin" try pushing that into the cylinder.

you know i was looking a that pin and knew it had to take that core out. i was almost positive but when i first tried it did not work so i was scared to screw it up. But i just said the hell with it and tried to push that pin down and guess what it worked. Thanks for the reply tho if i didn't try and do the pin thing i would have now.

Medeco only does LFIC from what I know. Keymark is the SFIC.

You're thinking of the Yale SFIC system. The Medeco system uses a design similar to that of BEST and others, in that there are two shear lines.

Are you sure? I was told by a representitive that a Medeco SFIC doesn't exist, only LFIC's. I have never seen a SFIC Medeco either.
