Hello,
Here's the story: I need to do a presentation in my class for 5 minutes, and because it's my passion, I decided to talk about lockpicking.
Now, to keep the information easy to understand, and because I don't really trust my fellow students (and the small amount of time), I am merely going to cover the basics and the ethics of lockpicking (how does it fit in the security department, how is lockpicking looked upon by the mass, criminality, the need for lockpickers in the lockmaking industry, etcetera).
But to cover the basics, I need some pictures of a basic 5 pin tumbler (like the MIT guide). Does anyone of you know where I can fetch some pictures of the internet without getting entangled in copyrights?
I need to do this entirely legal (in the finest details) because I've alteady been asked by my (soon to be) brother in law, who happens to be a teacher, whether he can use it for his lessons.
Also, the teacher that will judge my presentation writes for the national newspaper, so if done correctly, I might (small chance, but still...) persuade him to publish an entirely different view on lockpicking.
I am sure that you see the potential importance of this, therefor, I'd be very happy if someone could redirect me to a site with some pictures that I can use without getting busted on copyright infringement.
Yours,
Jordy

Look at crypto.com for some nice photos, a school presentation should not get matts copyright knickers in a twist.

It might eventually turn into a lesson plan, that's why i'm scared of what might happen.

just make sure that you put a link to where you got the information/picture on the slides that you use, basically giving credit to whom/where it belongs.
To copy from one person is plagerism, to copy from many is research.
No i can't spell, and yes i'm dyslexic.

You could always email Professor Blaze to ask.
I would aslo suggest you contact toool.nl Several members have written documents with pictures that you might be able to use if you ask.

And all of Deviant's picture are copyleft (meaning you can use them no problem), it is still nice to ask first if possible or at least send a thank-you. At minimum, give credit (as mentioned before).

Thank you all for the great info, with this, I'll be able to make up a presentation about basic lockpicking and the ethics.
I'll be able to make a lesson plan for the (soon to be my brother in law) teacher with this.
And if (just if) i tend to amaze my teacher (which happens once a blue moon)m i've got info that he can use for his articles.
Anyway, thanks a lot everyone. You've made my day.
Yours,
Jordy

Am I to understand from your original post that your presentation was FIVE MINUTES after you wrote it?

It seemed to me he was asking for enough material for a 5 minute presentation.
lol if he needed it in 5 minutes that's procrastination of a whole new degree

To make things clear: i need material that can keep me talking about lockpicking for 5 minutes.
I'll be having the presentation on the sixteenth of march.
Filtering the information that i should tell them to make it understandable, and getting pictures (gah, die copyright, die) to back it up is hard however, because there is so much to tell.
That was why i set out this plea for help.
Once again, thank you all for the ideas.
Yours,
Jordy

I made a cutaway with on both ends a different key to show the inner working of a lock.
I guess photo's are better though. Thanks for the offer.
