New to picking

Hello all. I just found this site out a few days ago. I myself have just began to pick. I find that I try to single pick, but at times it seems if I can't seem to get that last pin.
On another note, I am amazed at how cheap master locks are. I bought a "cheap" master knock off, and the thing took me 45 mins to open! I am going to go by a kwickset lock this weekend and practice a bit. Any advice as to what model I should buy?

Yea master locks are crap dont even waste money.. and cheaper ones arent exactly hard to open but that there so horribly put together it actually sometimes prevents picking.. i have one called mountain security i can pop most padlocks of much better quality and value but this piece of junk is so bad that it just doesnt pop.

Not all Master locks are "garbage" Many of the Pro Series locks will provide you with quite a difficult time. Even the "cheap" 4 pin master padlocks can provide good practice as well. Don't discount any experience to learn.

Is the master lock 140 alrite for spools. Since its only like 2 weeks and 5 days til i go to L.A and Las vegas im thinking of getting the Master lock combination lock since ive got into combination locks, and also the master lock 140.
