Well, one of my friends happened to lock himself out of his 67' chevelle. So I pulled my set out and opened it for him on the spot, before he could say anything.
He said that was pretty awesome and told me that he has lockpicks where he works too, the Toyota dealership. Does anyone out there work for a dealership and had seen the sets or had hands on opportunities? I was wondering, because he pointed out that they only carried 2 sets in the entire dealership and said that they set them back about $400 each. If so, what kind of brand do the dealerships normally carry and if there is, which set/kit might one of those be. Thanks, when I asked him he said he didn't know.

400 a piece? I've got a few sets of southords, wonder if any of the dealerships in town need some tools...
If it was just a standard lock pick set they got hosed. Maybe he was talking about an auto opening kit?

Im not sure, he was a little sketchy on the answer, he did mention that it was for opening lockouts for all doors and cars along with tubular picks and automatic picks.. somewhere along the line of 200-300 pieces each

Sounds like just a bag with a bunch of commercial tools in it.
Probably a Southord combination set, and a few auto tools. Why would there be a need for tubular picks in an auto dealer? Or tools for non-auto lockouts??

Thats what I said... Maybe if they lock themselves out of the office, or run out of money and want something from the vending machines..
Last time I asked he just told me it was a huge zippered nylon case, I want to check it out myself, maybe I need to 'accidently' lock the keys in while checking out the interior of a car and get a look while they bust it out?

maybe dealrshipguy didnt know what a pick is and was in fact describing a set of those laser cut tryout or bump keys, you know, the kind that could be duplicated cheap on a laserkey machine, but that cost a bundle from the german company.
