They kinda of look and sound like picks.

When I first started to make my own picks I though wow this item looks like just what I need to make picks. I spent way too much time and effort figuring out they are not suited for lock picks.

it looks like you could actually grind this down a lot, and you have a slight chance of it working. What is this used for really though?

A lot of griding would have to be done, and you have no guarantee it will even be strong enough when made thinner.

Overall I'd say you'd spend your money better on a small set of Southord picks.

The picks and hooks you pointed out are just general mechanics tools for picking contaminents out of threaded holes, digging things out of tires, cleaning keyways (not lock keyways, but like keyways on motor shafts, etc, etc...

They do not make good lockpicks!
