Need help with a Disc Tumbler Cylinder Cam Lock

Postby CSmith1128 » 17 Apr 2006 16:59

Hello... I need help with a Disc Tumbler Cylinder Cam Lock. I was wondering if anyone knew a technique for picking these types of locks. Its a lock for a cabinet. If anyone can help, please do.

Thank you.

A what?

Do you have a picture and can you tell us the background to you wanting to pick it and why you are picking it?

We dont mind helping but like some background info first to make sure things are all above board.

definitely.. here is a picture of the lock...

I installed the lock on a cabinet in my house a few months ago. The other day I tried to get into the cabinet and could not find the key. I would like to get into the cabinet and remove/change the lock.

I am not sure if there is a special technique for this type of lock, or if it would be the same as the common door lock with the springs and pins (as you can see, I don't know the correct terms, but I'm sure you understand what I mean).

Well it is a picture of the ACTUAL lock to prove ownership that i was after but making a judgement call i will tell you to look for wafer locks and how to pick them, they are the easiest lock to pick so with 30mins reading youll have it open tonight.
