Hello! :D

I'm new and to take full advantage of my newbie status i make a question :P

I'd like to know what type of picks i need for the italian locks...

I've seen the faq that talks about the 14-15 picks set... but are that good for italy? :D

Thanks :D

If you are going to be picking european locks it is easier with the slim line picks as the keyways are slightly narrower thanover in America.

If you are just starting I would recommend a 9 piece slimline set or something similar. It is possible to use the standard picks but more difficult.

You should be ok with any of these ... CLICK HERE

Hope This Helps

Italian locks

Wait a minute, doesn't Italy use mostly double-bitted key lever locks? You won't get far with cylinder lock picks on that type of lock. Otherwise, if it's just pin tumbler, you can just get a basic pick set as mentioned by others.

I saw many double-bitted lever locks whilst in Italy. Also Yale Euro profiles were used.

There were also some pump locks on two doors I encountered... Unfortunately I wasn't overly interested in spending my holiday snooping around doors looking at locks lol.

I've got another question!

In Italy there's a law that doesn't permit to sell picks!

This mean i can't even buy it from the US?
