What keyway is this?

Postby mrhappy » 28 Apr 2006 12:22

I have picked up a few used locks today. Most of them have the name on them but I cannot figure out which one this is. I tried to take a pic of the keyhole but it just turned out a blurry mess so i drew it.

Somone posted a link with the different types of keyholes for identification for the life of me I cant find it. All I came up with is this. http://www.kaba-ilco.com/key_systems/pd ... sp#catalog which I couldnt find an exact match with. By the way this is a north americian lock if that helps anyone.

Assuming you're looking for a BEST keyway, you may try doing a search for "best keyways" and I'm sure you will find the chart you are looking for. ;-)

Why assume BEST? Could be anything.

It isn't a BEST keyway...at least it isn't with the chart I have...which has a dozen or so keyways. I also looked through all my other charts and couldn't find a match.

Is this a pin or wafer lock?

I really don't think we're going to get anything from this illustration. Certainly without knowing the brand.
