Bump keys

Iv'e tryed making bump keys for a few of my padlocks but not once has it ever opened.

What could i be doing wrong?


YOur suposed to hit the key and turn very fast so maybe im out of timing.

I take it youve read all the other threads on the subject?

Have you removed a bit off the shoulder and tip of the key?

i did the cuts pefect but the shoulder of the key i did take of on one but next tiem i get a few blanks ill post a pic.

Well you have to remove a bit on the shoulder and the tip or else it wont work.

Well, you could try pull-out. (Chorus please: "Pulling out doesn't work!" Yes, yes...) But yeah, you'll want to trim the shoulder for most locks.

Given your record, your cuts could very well be far from perfect.
