wafer lock wont turn

wafer lock wont turn

hey guess ive been working on a lock[differnt lock then last post] and its a wafer lock i beleive it has 4 wafer disc things anyways i pick it from the unlocked position because its one of those locks where u have to have a key to turn any way even if if u wont to lock it and i picked and turned it into the locked position and i keep trying to pick it with tension clock wise and CCW but wat ever i do i cant get the first pin to set at least thats wat it looks and feels like but i pick some of them i know cuz when i try to turn it the other way i here some clicks. heres a pick guys[the pencil is to hold it up]

Look in the key way and I think you will find this is a wafer lock, not a pin tumbler. They are fairly easy to pick. Try a ball pick, as they tend to work better on wafer locks.

You do realise that locks dont pick in order dont you? by that i mean wafer or pin 1 rarely will be the first to set then wafer or pin 2 will rarely be the second and so on, find the one that binds the most and set that one first.

On a wafer lock you may find you need to use a bit more tension than normal and a double pronged wrench is the best wrench to use on them, imho.

i had the same problem once when i took it apart the wafers were all screwwed up and like broken.
