I don't know what a 114 Decoding Kit is, but I've read popular reviews of Sculpey modeling clay.

fimo

I use fimo, but just go to the local artists supplies store and get their cheapest heat setting plastic, use it without heat setting it.

So what's a 114 decoding kit, again? I'm guessing key molding/casting, but in what form?

I to have a question, there was some guy in there talkin about medeco keys and all kinds saying he could make a usable copy out of clay or something? But other than that How do you use this kit, do you decode the lock first then attempt to make a clay model to cut a real key from? Or do you use the clay key after its hardend of course to opent he door in an emergency situation? i dont know if this would help anybody, but a quick way to harden skuply or h/e you spell it is to use a torch of some kinda preferably a pocket one used to like a ciggerette and hold the key made of clay about 3 or so inches above the lighter flame so it doesnt burn it just gets a high dosage of heat, and the heat will harden it if you do it right becuase the key mold would not be thick at all, learned that trick from art class, never thought you could use clay in lcoksmithing, i tired it because my mom would no longer let me bake it in the oven as suggested becuase of the smell, ofcourse i wasnt making keys just dumb artsy stuff for my class projects, but be careful!! its very easy to tourch the clay.
