Safe with Sliders

A customer has requested a safe with sliders instead of a key or electronic keypad....any clues?

What do you mean? Like a set of sliders marked 1 to 5, and you line them up? That wouldn't be safe at all!

Just install some top-of-the-lin skies on it and it should be fine

Sliders? Maybe a fichet monopole?
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Burg-Waechter makes safes with the "Secumatic" lock, which is made by Secu.
See the 2nd picture on this page: http://www.tresore.net/Burg-Waechter-Schloss.htm

Hope this helps,

Now I even found a picture of such safe :)
The sliders are actually marked 0 to 9, and there are 6 of them, makes of 1,000,000 real possible combinations.
And the lock was certified by VdS (class 2), which means that it is quite safe.
