Picking Locks Installed Upside Down.

To properly 'hand' key-in-knob sets seems to be going out of style. For practice, install your lock upside down. If you're getting comfortable with Schlage 1145C, and Weiser WR5 keyways, try them upside down. Raking can be a whole new experience. Good luck.

Shouldn't they be learning single pin upside down, raking wouldn't be a challenge on an upside down, 45 degree angle, inverted lock.

I'm agreeing with skold here. I've found raking to be much the same on 'upside-down' locks.

SPP tends to be made different, if you have to apply tnesion from in front of the pins, and don't have a stubby tension wrench. I've found the wrench reeeaaallly gets in the way unless it's short.

If i am picking some euros with small keyways and the only way to put pick in is to put the wrench in top its pretty hard to even rake it at all.

Some locks haver there pins far in the plug so then theres loads of room but some dont.

Like my blackspur padlock the pisn are far into plug so its pretty easy to put the wrench in top

the method of holding the pick with a finger along the pickshaft to feel the core turn works better for euro cylinders and 'upside down locks'.
