Electric pickin questions

Was wonderin if anybody could help me out here,

I have been havin a little trouble with my electric pic, the E100H

There are some locks which I can pick easily, and some Yale locks which I cant. The space between the bottom pin and the base is so small that there is no place for the needle to vibrate, is this some sort of a anti pickin measure, or does it mean nothin

Is it possible for someone to also tell me where I can find more info about electric pickin on the internet

We've got an entire forum dedicated to electric and mechanical picks. As far as the pick you have, have you tried filing one of your pins down or using a lower setting?

Yea, I used the least setting, but I think its enough to actually push the upper pins since the pins are quite large

Anyway should I have posted this in the Mechanical section or questions section ? its a bit confusing

Sorry, the low setting does NOT allow the upper pins to move up, I believe

If the blade fits in and moves any amount it will be fine, adjust the setting until the lock opens, Yale do have a lot of restricted keyways but as far as the normal ones go they are very easy to open with a EPG, the SO guns arent the best tools to use though.

not all keys have a nine cut on them so its ok if you feel that the keyway wards require you to lift the pins a bit to get to a more open area, and then cycle the pick on and off, (I have never used a powertool pick, but I was reading a thread about them yesterday on foro.lockpicking.es which is in spanish.

I`ve got the HPC electric pick,
brilliant tool takes less than an hour to get familiar with it.
