The SO w-Rake worthless?

Postby LockNewbie21 » 7 Jul 2006 2:37

Okay i have not really seen anybody talk of this pick which makes me belive i am either using it wrong it it jsut plain sucks. I have not found one sutable lock it will even function in not even a kwickset. Anybody have any though, its the only pick out of the thirty or so i have that i never bothered to finish or get a back up or two.

w-rake? Like, a rake that is W-shaped? Sounds similar to a Bogota, to which I say "Just use a Bogota" :P

W-pick?

Postby pradselost » 7 Jul 2006 3:57

W-Pick? What are you talking about? That's a bonafide toothbrush-shaped pick there! ;D I've never really found a suitable lock to use mine in, and historically use it to scratch that little spot between my shoulderblades. I'm seriously not kidding. ;p

ha ha- I thought you were talking about a Bogota initially too. Yeah, I don't know what that is for other than to trick the layman into believing that our hobby is more complex than it is.

It might hurt your back. But I think it will be great to scrape away the grime that settles under fingernails.

BTW, saw the pic of your dog, cute, for sure. Is that a white beard unter her nose or is it just the pic. My dog is starting to develop this kind of white fur under his mouth as well, but he is almost 6 so I think growing white is fine... :)

I belive there are some other ones that look like that one, but they slope in different directions (or something like that) I belive you'r suposed to use it like a jiggaler.

 Its a game of chance realy 0_o

if I had that

Postby raimundo » 7 Jul 2006 15:14

if I had that rake pictured, with all that thickness toward the front and a week spot just before the shaft, I would grind or file away the underside toward the tip so that it would be less likely to become stuck in a keyway.

That's a good idea actually. This pick really sucks as is-- difficult to insert and manipulate. I'm not sure why South* designed it.

I might mod it a bitt wee what i can do.

Umm by the way.. anybody want to buy a backscratcher, i would sell it on ebay as a joke stating its a back scrather... but i am pushing it ehh never hurts to be on a lock out when you dont have you auto reach tools and scratch your back.

Also Beats asking the person who's lock your opening, "Hey buddy my back itches ya mind?... No its not alive my doctor said its okay just itch there o yeaaaaa, wait!!! and there, alight heres your door open"

I might not have any return customers though? :?

We need to do an experiment. Is it any easier or harder to pick a lock while having your back scratched, or other forms of stimulation. ;)
