I want to order a new pick set. either the 20 piece Southord stainless steel set or the Petersons just picks with the blue handles in stainless.

Both sets you have mentioned are stainless and IMO very good.

Is your question mainly directed towards the handles of these picks??

If it's your first set, the southord will be more complete as it comes with tension wrenches. If those arent' an issue for you, get the petersons. I have the rubber handle variety and I love them.
