REVIVING thread: "more yale safe info"

Postby p1ckf1sh » 23 Jul 2006 8:24

I am writing this in regards to the (now locked) Thread "more yale safe info" (LINK)

I can't understand why it has been locked, because requests for dialing instructions have been coming up quite regularly and I was under the impression that assisting people with the mere dialing instructions (and NO info regarding manipulation or bypass) was deemed fit for the public forums.

Question to the mods: Has there been a change of policy or has the thread been locked accidentally?

To the poster of the original question: As said, dialing instructions have been discussed here a number of times. You may want to use your search-fu with the terms "dialing", "instructions", "clockwise", "counterclockwise", "cw", "ccw" and any combination thereof. Here are some links I came up with in a quick look, there might be more to discover if you take the time to search around.

http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=12459&highlight=dialing++ccw

http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=12009&highlight=dialing+instructions

Note to mod, all these threads contain dialing instructions, and only that, and none of those is locked...
Due to financial limitations the light at the end of tunnel has been turned off until further notice.

I think they locked it because the information he was looking for was already discussed. In addition to that, some concerns may have been raised about someone posting advanced information in a non-advanced forum. Just a guess..

Note to users: Notes to mods have a better chance of being read if pm'd directly to mods.

Quite often threads about safes are locked as 99% of the time quickly digress from simple usage to manipulation, etc. which are advanced topics. Hence, this one will be locked as well to preserve its integrity and usefulness. 8)
