Legal question regarding shipping.

I found this site about a week ago, and I've been reading various threads since then. I've finally decided to buy a set (I don't have the tools to make them - not even hand tools :? ) but, since I'm under 18, I need my dad to pay by credit card and I'll refund him in cash.

I've read here and on lockpickshop.com that there are very rarely any problems shipping outside the US except for high import taxes, but my dad doesn't want on his credit card record that he bought lock picks in the US. Which I guess is kinda understandable, since he travels down there a lot on business, but it still seems a little paranoid to me.

I was just wondering whether any of you had had ANY problems with shipping or, for whatever reason, having a record anywhere that gave you problems with US customs or whatever.

Also, if you could think of anything I could say to convince my dad that this is safe to do, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks :D

If you are really that worried, get a checkings account at your bank (most common type) and hook it to paypal then buy with that. It will take longer to process the order but no record besides it being associated with your bank account / email address.

Overall, records of what you buy i think are covered under privacy acts, but i don't live in the USA nor do i practice law there. But i assume there will be no issues as i was just in Las Vegas (from Canada) and i had no issues at the boarder.

Considering where you live, I do not know if your province has any restrictions on lockpicks......

Try asking Varjeal.
