Tubular Locks in NZ

Postby stilte » 12 Sep 2006 18:59

Does anyone know where I could get my hands on some tubular locks in New Zealand?

I tried the usual sources like bike locks, chains and letterboxes, but they're all the pin tumbler type. Been on the lookout for days. K-mart, Mitre 10, Warehouse, Bunnings, Placemakers, nope, nothing. I saw a tumbler lock at the post office, but I wasn't about to ask them if I could try picking it.

Well, you could always order one off of the internet.

How many do you want? I might buy a lot of 10 soon, deoending on how the bidding goes, I could cut you in on one if you wish.

Yes... check e-bay
I see tubular locks on there all the time, sometimes called "ace"

You can have up to 4 lbs ( less than 2 kilos) shipped for $9.00 US .3-4 days from the US to just about anywhere in the world.

Service is called "Global Priority" available at any US Post Office.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was looking for one or two locks to practice on.

Yeah I probably will have to order on ebay. I'm not exactly a luddite, but I prefer not to buy things online if I can help it, after a friend got screwed up by an online shop. Anyway those tubular lock guys on ebay look ok.
